New patient FAQs

What should I bring to my first dental visit?

Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if applicable, and a list of any medications you take. If you're transferring from another dentist, recent X-rays can sometimes be sent over to avoid repeating them.

How long does a first dental visit take?

A new-patient exam typically takes 60–90 minutes. This includes a comprehensive oral exam, digital X-rays as needed, a cleaning if appropriate, and a treatment planning conversation with Dr. Mai.

What dental insurance do you accept?

We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans. Please call our office with your insurance information and we'll verify your benefits before your appointment.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes. For larger treatment plans, we offer in-house payment plans and accept third-party financing options like CareCredit. We'll review costs and options clearly before any treatment begins.

Are you accepting new patients of all ages?

Yes — we welcome new patients of every age, from young children to adults and seniors. Dr. Mai is comfortable with patients who feel anxious about dental visits and offers nitrous oxide for additional comfort.
